<p>The history is important as this tender lesion has grown over a period of four months, which is too quick for a BCC (BCCs tend to grow 2-3 mm a year). </p>
<p>Dermoscopically we see central keratin, a few peripheral white-yellow clods (arrows) and polymorphous vessels ie variation in the blood vessels (black circles), which is all in keeping with the confirmed histological diagnosis of a squamous cell carcinoma.</p>
