<p>Dermoscopically there are grey circles. On the face grey is usually a cause for concern. In this instance the grey circles represent irregular pigmentation around the hair follicles, a feature that can be one of the first dermoscopic signs of a lentigo maligna. The diagnosis was confirmed by biopsy, which demonstrated atypical melanocytes tracking down the hair follicles and other adnexal structures. </p>
