<p>Dermoscopic examination shows an <strong>angulated brown-grey network</strong>. Whereas an angulated network on the rest of the body can be a normal feature, on the face it is usually abnormal and points to the diagnosis of a lentigo maligna, which was the case here. The colour <strong>grey</strong> is also often a red flag when seen on the face. As you will see from the 'dermoscopy introduction' document <strong>I use the term network as purely descriptive</strong> ie what I am seeing, as opposed to basing it on any anatomical features.&nbsp;</p>
